Throughout 2009 you will be invited to come out with me for some shooting time we will all grab our camera's, meet somewhere interesting and create!

I will be taking pictures as well, and will also be there to assist and provide some ideas!

Of course, I will email you all as Shoot-OUT dates are announced in the New Year.

WHAT?

This is a workshop, not a "sit and be lectured to" opportunity. It's an intimate and interactive experience. Once a month we will meet for a field trip, your task will be to: photograph, learn, have a fantastic time and feel great about getting out with other friendly creative folk like yourself. 

Karen’s tasks’ include: giving creative challenges, answering questions, getting you out with your camera, providing critiques, teaching about depth of field, shutter speed, exposure, light and composition.

Each time we meet we will begin with a discussion of technical aspects of photography and feedback on your photography. Then we will head out and shoot.

The atmosphere is laid back, inspiring and exciting.

WHEN?

Course 1: The  last Wednesday of the month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. February through June

Course 2: The last Friday of the month from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. February through June

Course 3: The last  Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. February through June

(please note May's classes will be on the third week of the month)

These are two separate courses, you can register for Course 1,2 or Course 3 - both will have the same content.

WHAT TO I NEED?

It is HIGHLY recommended that you have a digital or film SLR. We have had people partake with point and shoot camera's and although they enjoyed themselves they were limited in some of our exercises.

HOW DO I REGISTER?

Registration is NOT open yet, however, when the title of this post changes to "Chicks who Click Registration is open"  this post will include info on how to register. Registration will be open to the public next week.

The cost of the course is $150 plus GST.

Chicks who Click is set to start up this February. Registration will begin in December. Keep an eye on the blog for more information. Hope you can join us!

Due to VERY popular request our morning shoot will be at Goose Spit. We will meet at 6:30 - coffee in hand I will be there waiting for your at the very first parking area on the left. This location should be easy for everyone to get to early in the a.m.

On a total random note I am listening to Valerie Lopez and it is totally working me in to the day. 

Current and past chicks are invited to join me on a morning shoot Friday July 25th at 6:30 a.m.! Yes, you read that right 6:30 a.m. Return to the blog mid-next week for the exact location.
